Dear TTCS Community,
As TTCS continues the overall school expansion, we are also continuing our safety improvements. As many of you have already noticed the front door is locked and a buzz in system has been installed at the front doors. For the safety of our students, as of November 26th all visitors must stop at the front door and request access to the school by pressing the call button and letting the front office know who they are and why they are at the school. Once the front office has buzzed them in, they will sign in and receive a badge.
Beginning on Monday November 26th, during school hours the front doors will be locked the majority of the time, and you will have to use this system. After 3:30, the front doors will be locked and it may be difficult to gain access to the building.
For parents picking up students at 4pm from after-school programs, the students will be brought to the front doors to meet you. For safety reasons we are limiting visitors waiting in the lobby after 3:30
If you have a child in after care, you should always enter the building through the back doors to pick them up.
TTCS continues to plan and intends to implement other safety and security updates throughout this school year and the next.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Also, we are currently planning to install the first phase of what swill become a school wide a camera surveillance system for the school property and as funding from the legislature gets approved it will be installed.
We appreciate your concern and would love to have your input. The Safety Committee meets periodically throughout the year and is composed of teachers, admin, parents and community members. We would benefit from your attendance at these meetings. The Safety Officer will add your email to the contact list and will let you know when the next meeting is scheduled to occur
